Curriculum

At Westwood Park, we have a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects the new curriculum changes.

We use a range of resources to teach literacy and maths - Read Write Inc and the Lancashire Scheme support English skills. Whilst Numicon and White Rose support Mathematics. Foundation subjects (History, Geography) and Science are supported by Chris Quigley materials and we follow the Salford LA agreed syllabus for RE. PE sessions are delivered by the Salford Sports Development and MAPAS (Salford Music Service) support our delivery of Music.

All KS1 and 2 children learn French and Sign Language with specialist teachers.

Parents and members of the public can find out any additional information about the curriculum they require from the class teacher or the Head Teacher.
